ALBANY - A Cohoes woman stole more than $13,000 from her employer at the Empire State Plaza, New York State Police said Wednesday.
Cynthia A. Peltier, 41, of Cohoes, was charged March 28 with first-degree forgery and third-degree grand larceny, felonies, police said.
The investigation began March 20 when troopers received a report from a business located in the Empire State Plaza, police said. A release did not name the business.
The investigation then determined Peltier, an employee at the business, repeatedly cashed multiple unauthorized forged checks from January through March into her personal bank account, police said.
Peltier was arraigned and released to return to court later.
